Mango pachadi is a **delicious**, simple and must recipe prepared for Tamil New Year. Also its a traditional recipe in Onam sadya and ugadi festival. This is my mom's signature recipe and it tastes absolute divine with its unique flavor and scrumptious taste. Do try and let me know your feedback.

Yield - 3 to 4 servings servings
Ingredients
Raw mango - 2
Oil - 1 tbsp
Turmeric pwd - 1/4 tsp
Green chilli - 1
Jaggery - 1 cup
Salt - 1/2 tsp
Mustard - 1/4 tsp
Cumin - 1/2 tsp
Split urad dal - 1/2 tsp
Red chilli - 1 or 2
Curry leaves - a few
Instructions
1.
Take raw mangoes.
2.
Peel off the skin.
3.
Grate to fine shreds as shown in video.
4.
Soak jaggery in water for 10 mins.
5.
Take thick jaggery water out of it by filtering the impurities at the bottom.
6.
Heat oil in frypan.
7.
Add grated mango, salt, turmeric pwd and green chilli.
8.
Saute for a minute.
9.
Add 1/4 cup of water and cook in medium flame by covering with lid.
10.
Once the mango is cooked soft, add thick jaggery water.
11.
Heat in high flame until the pachadi thickens.
12.
Turn off flame.
13.
Heat a tsp of oil for tempering.
14.
Add mustard, cumin, split urad dal, red chilli, curry leaves and neem flowers (optional)
15.
Wait to splutter.
16.
Add to pachadi and mix.
17.
Healthy and traditional Mango pachadi is ready.
