Ingredients
Whole milk - 600 ml
Almonds - 20
Cashew nuts - 15
Pistachios - 10
Walnuts - 4
Kaskasa (poppy seeds) - 2 tsp
Cardamom pwd - 1/4 tsp
Cinnamon pwd - 1/2 tsp
Pepper pwd - 1/2 tsp
Fennel (saunf pwd) - 1/2 tsp
Saffron strands - a few
Raw sugar - 50 g
Instructions
1.
Soak almonds in warm water for 10 mins.

Remove the skin and set aside.
3.
Soak cashew nuts, pistachio nuts, walnuts and poppy seeds in 1/4 cup of milk for 5 mins.

Add soaked almonds, cashew nuts, pistachio nuts, walnuts and poppy seeds along with soaked milk to blender.

Add pepper pwd, fennel pwd, cardamom pwd and cinnamon pwd.

Grind to smooth paste.

Heat 600 ml of milk.

Add few saffron strands and sugar.
9.
Stir good.
10.
Add the nuts paste and stir well.
11.
Turn off flame.
12.
Allow to cool.
13.
Transfer to serving cups.
14.
Garnish with chopped nuts and serve chilled.

Lipsmacking delicious Shahi thandai is ready.
