Garlic chutney also known as poondu chutney or lahsun chutney or bellulli chutney is a speciality of Indian cuisine. Its a divine recipe for garlic and spice lovers. It tastes flavorful delicious with spicy tangy taste. Its one of my favorite recipe! The combo of garlic and red chilli enhances the taste and combines excellent with idli, dosa and all other Indian breakfast recipes.
Preparation Time - 5 Minutes
Cooking Time - 4 Minutes
Yield - 4 servings
Ingredients
Grated coconut - 1 cup
Garlic or poondu - 3 to 4
Red chilli - 4 to 5
Gingely oil (nallennai) - 2 tsp
Salt to taste
Instructions
1.
Grate coconut to fine slices.
2.
Add grated coconut to blender.
3.
Add garlic, red chilli and salt.
4.
Grind to coarse paste.
5.
Add little water and grind to smooth consistency.
6.
Flavorful delicious garlic chutney is ready!
7.
Transfer to serving bowl.
8.
Add 2 tsp of gingely oil and mix.
9.
It makes a lipsmacking combo with idli, dosa, pongal, vada, kichdi & all other healthy South Indian breakfast recipes!
