Paneer Masala | Restaurant Style

Ingredients
Paneer - 200 g
Cooked peas - 1 cup
Oil - 1 tbsp
Butter - 1 tbsp
Onion - 2
Tomato - 2
Ginger - small piece
Garlic - 4
Cashewnuts - 8
Turmeric pwd - 1/4 tsp
Red chilli pwd - 1 tsp
Coriander pwd - 1 tsp
Garam masala pwd - 1/2 tsp
Cumin pwd - 1/2 tsp
Dried fenugreek leaves - 1/2 tsp
Coriander leaves
Salt to taste
Instructions
1.
Heat oil in frypan.
2.
Add cumin seeds and wait to splutter.
3.
Add grated ginger and garlic and saute.
4.
Add finely sliced onions, salt and saute until light brown.
5.
Add sliced tomatoes, cashewnuts and cook covered until the tomatoes are soft.

Turn off flame.

Allow to cool.

Add to blender and grind to smooth paste.
9.
Heat 1 tbsp of butter / oil in frypan.

Add masala paste and saute.

Add turmeric pwd, red chilli pwd, cumin pwd, coriander pwd, garam masala pwd and sugar (optional)

Add 1/2 cup of water and adjust the thickness of gravy.

Cover and cook in low flame for 5 mins.
14.
Its time to add paneer cubes and cooked peas.
15.
Stir in medium flame.
16.
Cook for few more mins.
17.
Sprinkle dried fenugreek leaves.
18.
Turn off flame.
19.
Garnish paneer masala with freshly chopped coriander leaves.
20.
Transfer to serving bowl.
21.
Enjoy hot wtih garma garam phulkas, roti, chapati, paratha, naan or even with biryani or any rice dishes.
