Chicken nuggets is a classic chicken recipe that is a favorite of all ages. It tastes tender, mildly spicy, juicy and low in fat. In this recipe, the boneless chicken is battered with spices and deep fried to crispy and golden. Preparing this crispy nuggets at home is very easy and ofcourse a much healthier option to the store-bought or fast food option. It makes a heavenly combo with any dip of your choice.

Yield - 4 servings
Boneless chicken - 300 g
Egg - 1
Pepper pwd - 1/2 tsp
Bread crumbs - 2 cups
Garlic pwd - 1/2 tsp
Onion pwd - 1/2 tsp
Corn flour - 3 tbsp
Maida flour - 1 tbsp
Soy sauce - 1 tsp
Red chilli flakes - 1/2 tsp
Lemon juice - few drops
Salt to taste
Oil to deep fry
Clean and wash boneless chicken.
Drain water completely.
Add the chicken to blender.
Beat an egg and add to it.
Add salt, lemon juice, garlic pwd, onion pwd, pepper pwd, corn flour, red chilli flakes, soy sauce, bread crumbs and combine.
Blend to smooth mixture.
Transfer to mixing bowl.
Set it aside.
Make a paste out of corn flour, maida flour, salt and little water in a small bowl.
The paste should be of thin consistency as shown in video.
Keep the bread crumbs ready in plate for coating.
Take a small portion of chicken mixture and roll it to smooth ball.
Pat it flat to nugget shape as shown in video.
Dip it in maida paste and coat with bread crumbs.
Arrange in plate.
Repeat the same for the rest of the chicken mixture.
Heat oil in frypan.
Add the nuggets to hot oil and deep fry in medium flame.
Fry until crispy and golden brown.
Drain from oil in kitchen tissue.
Crispy delicious homemade chicken nuggets are ready.
Enjoy hot with tomato ketchup or any dip of your choice.
