This is one of my favorite snack esp during the rainy days. Its absolutely easy & quick to prepare. In this recipe the puffed rice is tossed in a tempering made with a kick of spicy ingredients. Ingredients
Pori / puffed rice - 1 bowl
Oil - 1 tsp
Peanuts - handful
Curry leaves - a twig
Red chilli - 2
Cashewnuts - 5 to 7
Turmeric pwd - 1/4 tsp
Red chilli pwd - 1/4 tsp
Sugar (optional) - 1/2 tsp
Chat masala pwd - 1/4 tsp
Salt to taste
Instructions
1.
Heat oil in frypan or kadai.
2.
Add peanuts and roast until crispy.
3.
Add curry leaves, red chilli and cashew.
4.
Roast for a minute.
5.
Add salt, turmeric pwd, red chilli pwd, sugar & chat masala pwd.
6.
Toss for few seconds.
7.
Add puffed rice (pori) and saute in low flame.
8.
Keep frying until the puffed rice turns crispy.
9.
Turn off flame.
10.
Spicy, hot and crispy delicious homemade murmura chivda is ready.

It makes a healthy tea time snack for kids and adults alike.
