Raw plantain - 3 to 4
Turmeric pwd - 1/2 tsp
Red chilli pwd - 1/2 tsp (optional)
Oil to deep fry
Wash and peel off the skin of raw plantain.
Cut them into halves.
Soak them in water with turmeric pwd in a bowl.
Let it soak for 5 minutes.
Drain the plantain out of water and pat it dry completely.
Slice to thin rounds as shown in video.
Heat oil in frypan.
Add the plantain slices and deep fry in medium flame.
Fry until the banana chips are crispy and golden.
Drain from oil in kitchen tissue.
Flavorful delicious crispy homemade banana chips are ready.
Sprinkle salt and red chilli pwd (optional) and mix.
Store in air tight container for long shelf life.
It makes a healthy crunchy after school snack for kids.
