Chilly Chicken Gravy
Here goes the most easy & delicious chilly chicken gravy recipe. In this recipe, boneless chicken cubes are marinated, fried and seasoned in spicy tangy sauces to get the best Indo-Chinese taste. Ingredients
To marinate:
Boneless chicken - ½ kg
Maida / all purpose flour - 3 tbsp
Corn starch - 2 tbsp
Soy sauce - 2 tsp
Ginger garlic paste - 1 tbsp
Vinegar -1 tsp
Green chilly - 1
Salt to taste
To make Gravy:
Onion - 2
Green chilly - 2
Capsicum chopped - ½ cup
Oil - to deep fry
Grated garlic - 2 tsp
Ginger paste - 1 tsp
Soy sauce - 1 tbsp
Tomato ketchp - 2 to 3 tbsp
Red chilly sauce -1 tsp
Vinegar - ½ tsp
Sugar - ½ tsp
Spring onions chopped - ½ cup
Corn starch - 2 tsp
Salt to taste
Instructions

To Marinate:

Wash and chop boneless chicken to small pieces

In a mixing bowl, add all purpose flour, corn starch, soy sauce, salt, ginger garlic paste,vinegar and finely sliced green chilly

Add little water and make it a paste

Add the chicken and coat well with the paste

Allow to marinate for 30 mins

To make Gravy:

Meanwhile chop onion, green chilly, capsicum and set aside

Heat oil in a frypan

Once the oil is hot, add the marinated chicken pieces

Deep fry until both the sides are brown and crispy

Drain in kitchen tissue and set aside

Heat 1 tbsp of oil in a pan

Add grated garlic, green chilly and toss

Now add ginger paste and saute for a minute

Add cubed onions, capsicum and saute in high flame

Add soya sauce and mix

Add red chilly sauce, tomato ketchup and salt

Add vinegar and sugar

Saute well

Now add the fried chicken pieces to this thick gravy and mix well

Sprinkle finely chopped green onions

If you want chilly chicken dry, then at this stage you can turn off the flame and transfer it to serving bowl

To make gravy, add 2 tbsp of corn starch to small bowl, add enough water and mix it to thin paste

Add this corn starch paste to the chilly chicken and keep the flame in low

Stir well for few minutes and turn off flame
