The highlight of this murukku is the very nice garlic flavor with hot taste from red chilly. This is one of my favorite snack and my Mil is expert in..making these garlic murukku. Try this yumm recipe and sure you will be preparing it often..:)

Rice flour - 1 cup
Gram flour / besan flour - 2 cups
Hing - ¼ tsp
Cumin seeds - 1 tsp
Sesame seeds - 1 tbsp
Butter - 1 tbsp
Dry red chilly - 4 to 5
Garlic -5 to 6
Salt to taste
Oil to deep fry
Instructions
1.
Take rice flour in a mixing bowl

To it add gram flour, hing, cumin seeds and sesame seeds

Add salt and mix

Take red chilly and garlic in a blender
5.
Add little water and blend it to smooth paste
6.
Add this paste to the mixing bowl and knead to smooth dough
7.
Add butter and combine

The dough consistency should be sticky as shown in the pic else the murukku will turn hard

Heat oil in a frypan

Grease the murukku press with oil
11.
Stuff enough dough inside mould and press it in concentric circles in a greased ladle or directly in hot oil

Fry the murukku till it turns golden brown and crisp on both sides

Drain it in kitchen tissue
14.
Hot and spicy Garlic Murukku is ready
