Homemade Plantain Chips

Green plantains - 2
Pepper pwd - ¼ tsp
Red chilly pwd - ¼ tsp
Salt - to taste
Oil - to fry
Wash and peel the skin of plantains.
Cut the plantain in half and slice into thin pieces.
Sprinkle salt, pepper pwd and red chilly pwd.
Keep it aside for 10 minutes.
Heat the oil over medium heat in a frying pan.
Add the plantain slices.
Drop just enough slices, so that the vessel isn’t overcrowded.
Deep fry to golden.
Turn them gently using a spatula.
Once it is golden on both sides, remove them on to a kitchen tissue to drain any
Repeat with the remaining batches of plantain slices.
Now the homemade plantain chips is ready!
Plantain chips can be stored in an airtight container for a few days.
