Moong Dal Ladoo | Diwali Ladoo
Moong Dal Laddu tastes great and very nutritious. This is my favorite sweet and very easy to prepare, immediately as we think. This traditional Indian sweets taste, lies in roasting the moongdal. Just roast it until your kitchen is redolent with the rich fragrance of moong dal. And coz of its delightful smooth taste, plate gets emptied up within minutes…:) Here is the recipe of Authentic & easy to make Moong Dal Laddu …! Give a try and Enjoy…!
Yellow moong dal - 1 cup
Sugar - ¾ cup
Ghee - 5 to 6 tbsp
Cashew - 6 to 7
Cardamom - 4
Raisins - 6 to 7

Heat a dry fry pan.
Roast moong dal, till it tuns golden brown in color.
Turn off flame, allow to cool.
Heat 1 tbsp of ghee, sauté cashews to golden.
Keep powdered sugar and cardamom ready.
Grind roasted moongdal to fine pwd.
Add roasted cashew, sugar & cardamom pwd.
Heat 5 tbsp of ghee in a wide pan.
Add dal mixture and stir in low flame for 4 mins.
Remove from heat.
When the mixture is still warm, shape into lemon sized balls.
If the balls break, you can sprinkle hot ghee, combine well and shape them
The tip is don’t add all the ghee at a time, add little by little with mixing them evenly.
Yummy..Moong dal Laddoos are ready to relish your taste buds.
Garnish with cashew and raisins.
